1. Who we are

Tinkerpad Studio, Inc. ("Tinkerpad", "we", "us") is a small studio based in New York building thoughtful home automation and IoT products. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit www.tinkerpad.co, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. What we collect

We try to collect as little as possible. Specifically:

  • Waitlist signup. If you join our waitlist, we collect your email address.
  • Contact form. If you message us, we collect the name, email address, and message text you provide.
  • Server logs. Like most websites, our server records basic request information (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) for a short period to keep the site secure and reliable.

We do not run advertising trackers, fingerprinting, or third-party analytics on this site.

3. How we use it

  • To respond to your message or send you waitlist updates you signed up for.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the site.
  • To meet legal or regulatory obligations when they apply.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Who we share it with

We share information only with vendors who help us run the site:

  • Resend — our email service provider. They store the contact details you submit (waitlist email, contact form messages) and deliver email on our behalf. See Resend's privacy policy.
  • Railway — our hosting provider. They process server logs and traffic data on our behalf. See Railway's privacy policy.

We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Tinkerpad, our users, or others.

5. Cookies and tracking

This site does not currently set tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics. Your browser may store standard request data (cache, local storage) as part of normal web usage. If we add analytics in the future, we will choose a privacy-respecting option and update this policy.

6. How long we keep it

  • Waitlist email — until you unsubscribe or we close the waitlist.
  • Contact form messages — typically up to 24 months, then deleted unless we are still actively corresponding.
  • Server logs — typically up to 30 days for security and debugging.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g., the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct it if it's inaccurate.
  • Delete it.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Receive a portable copy of your information.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable period and never charge a fee for a routine request.

You can also unsubscribe from waitlist emails at any time using the link in any email we send you.

8. Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top tells you when it last changed. If we make material changes, we will notify waitlist subscribers by email or post a notice on this site before the changes take effect.
